IS IT JUST ME…OR ARE THINGS AMAZING CRAZY?
Yes TWO things can be true at the same time = AMAZING | CRAZY – like the guy above; doing something amazing to lift that weight, but also crazy to want to do it, and in that format.
Around me there are terrible wars, the killing and maiming of the innocent; men, women and children slaughtered in the mistaken belief of the aggressors that their cause justifies it, and too bad if you’re in the way.
There are the terrible floods, the fires and the earthquakes. We are in a 24/7 chase to catch climate change and global warming before we reach the point of no return.
The world’s most admired democracy is under attack from within by a presidential candidate who wants to use the very democratic process of an election to grab power – like he boasted he “grab women by the pussy” - so that he can push democracy past the point of no return and light a fire across Europe, which will ignite a firestorm that humanity might not be able to survive.
At the same time there is also the eternal sunshine; the breathtaking beauty of mornings arriving all over the planet; the amazing depth in a seriously good red wine; the all-knowing power of the internet and our own home-grown alien species, AI, and its poster child ChatGPT.
And remember the ice age? Not so many years ago life expectancy was 40 and a horse driven cart was the fasted mode of travel. Also, when a fridge was wishful thinking and electricity something that was only to be found in the lightning of a thunderstorm.
So call me crazy, but this quote from a creative storyteller and a woman of substance, lights my fire. Agatha Christie supposedly said; “When I was young, I could not imagine being rich enough to have a car or poor enough to have no servants.” She was right – the amazing now seems crazy and the crazy sometimes turn out to be amazing.
The CRAZY AMAZING EMOJI hereunder is a fabulous visual illustration of the times we live in. And quite frankly I don’t think you would rather live in some other historical timeframe.
“Normal is just a setting on the washing machine. I prefer my craziness on high spin.”
