“I said, ‘This is genius’”

The quote above is from that self-declared ‘very stable genius’ Donald Trump.

Tsar Putin has declared parts of his neighbour, Ukraine, as independent states.  He announced, on TV, that he is sending in troops – after he has ‘asked’ his rubber-stamp parliament for permission to move troops into Ukraine.  An invasion is underway.  Not since the beginning of the Second World War has a European leader so brazenly started a conflict in which tens of thousands of persons could potentially been killed.  He tried holding a pipeline to Germany as a gun to the head of Western Democracies. 

Well the invasion of Ukraine has begun, as President Biden said. And then there is this from the former President of America [and I quote], a country we all associate with democracy, freedom of choice, and the most powerful country on our planet:

“I said, ‘This is genius,’” Trump recalled. “Putin declares a big portion of the Ukraine, of Ukraine ― Putin declares it as independent. Oh, that’s wonderful.”

“So, Putin is now saying, ‘It’s independent.’ A large section of Ukraine. I said, ‘How smart is that?’ And he’s going to go in and be a peacekeeper. That’s the strongest peace force,” Trump said. 

“We could use that on our southern border,” he added, before continuing with his praise. “That’s the strongest peace force I’ve ever seen. There were more army tanks than I’ve ever seen. They’re going to keep peace all right. No, but think of it. Here’s a guy who’s very savvy.” – Donald Trump

Maybe it is true, democracy carries the seed of its own destruction within, like some ancient Greek philosophers argued.  VLADIMIR PUTIN is, like all dictators in power; “a self-made man, who worships his creator” – to quote William Cowper.  Donald Trump is clearly a great fan.  It will end in tatters and in tears for both of them.  Remember Italian Strongman, Il Duce Benito Mussolini, who ended his life hanging upside-down at a petrol station?!?! 

WATCH OUT – BOTH OF YOU.  I will say, when this show is over, in Trump’s own words; ’This is genius’.
